Robert P. “Bo” Fisher

Robert Peper “Bo” Fisher was struck and killed by a car on Saturday 9/4. A devoted and faithful son to Danette Fisher-Hill of Richboro and Donald M. Fisher of King of Prussia, he is survived by his parents, sister Danielle M. Fisher, step-mother Robyn T. Fisher, step-father Gregory S. Hill, step-sisters Charlotte, Anna and Rachel Hill and step-brothers Gordon and Albert Hill. Numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins also mourn his departure.

Bo had just started his senior year at Council Rock South High School, transferring after previously attending Council Rock North and Richboro Junior High. He was a popular student among staff and students alike. Academically he was a member of the National Honors Society, a National Merit Finalist, and took advanced placement classes; he scored 1500 out of 1600 on his SAT exams.

He was also a proficient athlete, winning numerous youth championships and awards in baseball and soccer. He was a starter and letter winner as a sophomore on the 2002 North football team that won their division championship. He was a captain of the Council Rock Lacrosse Club team and won an award as outstanding defenseman; he was slated to be one of the captains of the new South varsity Lacrosse team.

During junior high he was active in the jazz and concert bands and played numerous trumpet solos.

Bo was in the process of seeking an appointment to the US Naval Academy (Annapolis, Maryland) or to the US Military Academy (West Point, New York). He wanted to serve his country in Special Operations.

He was well-traveled, exploring from coast-to-coast, the Caribbean and Europe. He lived in Wimbledon Village as a small child and recently traveled to Amsterdam, Cologne, Brussels and Paris. He hunted in the Colorado Rockies and white-water rafted in Montana.

An avid computer gamer, Bo built his own PC at the age of 10 and frequently participated in global, on-line games. He enjoyed water skiing, paintball and a range of other outdoor sports. He was an avid reader including fantasy, sci-fi and philosophy in his collection.

Bo was mourned by 300 friends in a candlelight vigil held on Sunday evening in the Northampton Community Park. He touched many people with his easy and engaging manner, his fun-loving sense of humor, and with a smile and a laugh that lingered in memory.
