In 50 Years

In 50 years, when I’m old and tattered and tired, and almost expired, I will remember you.
whether we’re far, or whether we’re close, and even if we can never speak again, I will remember you.

As you, who have been good too me, I will do all I can for you.
My life’s work will not be spent in vain and without cause.
While I feel I can hardly do you justice with words or songs, I will remember you

In 50 years, when I’m old and tattered and tired, and almost expired, I will remember you.
