We love and miss you!
Keep shining down on
All who love you,
We feel your presence
September 4, 2005
Bo,
As we stand here with you today we still cannot understand why you are not with us. We realize a year has past and yet in our minds it is only yesterday that you stood on the mountains of the Grand Tetons with your broad smile and charismatic ways as you climbed as high as you could and then told us “you had to go to the very top, because you did not know if you would ever pass this way again”. How on our fly-fishing trip ou were so determined to catch “a lot” of fish, and when by lunch time you had caught none, you were so eager to keep fishing right through lunch because you said “you did not want to be shown up by the girls” – who had all caught fish by then. Well your determination paid off because by the end of the day you had caught the most fish. Such determination is admirable…you attacked life in general like that. This by the way is the reason you are so missed. It may take us a bit longer to come to a full understanding of why such a special person is not here with us today. Hopefully the pain will lighten, particularly for your family and friends. Bo, you truly have left footprints in the sand, there is not a day that goes by that you are not in our thoughts. I know that you are watching over all of us because I can feel you. Today, when you know we were sad, your song from your friends came on the radio “I’ll be missing you”, so we knew you were right with us, and because we felt your strength we turned up the radio and listened…and felt your presence. Thanks for watching over all of us, but please help us find inner strength and peace in this next year particularly your family; they have suffered a tremendous loss, and they need your guidance and vigor to steer them through. When we looked at the stars tonight we could swear one was shining brighter each time we looked up…keep shining on all who love you Bo, your light is ever present.
With Much Love,
